Role Description The Wireless Retail Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Oneonta, NY. In this position, the associate greets customers, assesses their wireless needs, and recommends appropriate devices, plans, and accessories. Daily responsibilities include processing sales transactions, activating and troubleshooting devices, and explaining service features and promotions in clear, customer-friendly language. The associate maintains store appearance, assists with inventory and merchandising, and adheres to company policies and procedures. This role also involves meeting individual and store sales goals, providing follow-up support to customers, and collaborating with teammates to deliver a positive in-store experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and close sales in a retail environment.
• Basic technical aptitude and comfort with smartphones, mobile devices, and wireless plans, including the ability to learn new systems and explain features to customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Organizational and reliability skills, such as punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site in Oneonta, NY, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience in retail, wireless sales, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual language skills are a plus.
