Company Description Sidwal, a subsidiary of Amber Group, is a leader in railway subsystems, HVAC, and precision cooling solutions, backed by over four decades of industry experience.

This is a new greenfield project for aerospace and wireharness in Faridabad.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welding Inspector role at engineer level based at Sidwal’s facility in Faridabad. The Welding Inspector will perform visual and dimensional inspection of welds on fabricated components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, welding procedures, codes, and customer specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ), as well as verifying that correct materials, consumables, and parameters are used during production. The role involves preparing and maintaining inspection records, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and quality documentation, and coordinating with production, design, and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues. The Welding Inspector will also participate in root cause analysis, support corrective and preventive actions, assist in internal and external audits, and promote safe work practices on the shop floor.

Knowldege of welding processes (TIG/ORBITAL) Welding, Brazing(Induction/Torch)

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding inspection within aerospace and defense with strong understanding of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, etc.) and weld joint design.
  • Familiarity with relevant welding codes and standards (such as AWS, ASME, ISO, EN, or equivalent) and ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with visual inspection techniques and use of measuring instruments (e.g., gauges, vernier calipers, micrometers, weld size gauges) for dimensional and quality checks.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1, or equivalent) is highly desirable; vocational or diploma-level qualification in Mechanical, Welding, or related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of inspection.
  • knowldege of aerospace standards( AWS, ASME, NADCAP)
  • Expereince in weld defect identification
