Job Description
Job Description / Profile Design and develop welding procedures for new products and materials. Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and consumables. Optimize welding parameters to enhance productivity and minimize defects. Conduct weld inspections and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO). Investigate welding-related quality issues and implement effective corrective actions. Support non-destructive testing (NDT) and metallurgical evaluations. Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications. Lead and supervise the welding team, including working in shifts when required. Train, qualify, and continuously develop welders and operators. Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot welding-related issues. Drive initiatives to improve welding efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen safety practices. Stay abreast of advancements in welding technology and recommend relevant upgrades. Qualifications Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7?10 years of relevant experience. Certified Welding Engineer (AWS CWE or IWE) with strong proficiency in welding processes. NDT Level II certifications in RT, PT, and UT methods.
