Shift timings for the role:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebLogic Administrator to manage and support our middleware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will oversee the installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle WebLogic Server environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

- Now: 1 week IST, 1 week PST (until 5 pm PST)
- Later: 3 weeks IST, 1 week PST (until 5 pm PST)
We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebLogic Administrator to manage and support our middleware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will oversee the installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle WebLogic Server environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration:
- Install and configure Oracle WebLogic Server and associated middleware components.
- Configure JDBC data sources, JMS modules, and clustering for high availability.
- Administration & Maintenance:
- Monitor server health, capacity, and performance.
- Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates as required.
- Manage deployments of Java EE applications on WebLogic Server.
- Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve application-level errors.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Implement monitoring tools (e.g., OEM, Nagios) to proactively detect issues.
- Maintain logs and documentation for audits and future reference.
- Backup & Recovery:
- Create and manage backup policies for WebLogic configurations and applications.
- Develop disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with DBA, network, and security teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical support to application development and QA teams.
- Experience: 6-10 years in Oracle WebLogic administration.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in WebLogic Server (12c/14c).
- Strong knowledge of Java EE application servers and Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL integration.
- Familiarity with LDAP, SSL configurations, and security policies.
- Understanding of load balancing, clustering, and high-availability architecture.
- Scripting experience (Shell, Python) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
