Job Title: Custom Website Developer (Real Estate Portal Specialist) Location: kolkata Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 2?5+ years (Real estate portal experience must ) About the Role We are looking for a Custom Website Developer who has hands-on experience building and managing real estate/property portals ? not just basic websites. You will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining our real estate platform with features like property listing management, advanced filters, maps, lead capture, and admin controls. If you?ve previously worked on portals like 99acres, Magicbricks, Housing-style platforms (or similar custom portals), this role is for you. Key Responsibilities 1. Portal Development & Customization Develop and maintain a custom real estate portal (front-end + back-end) with: Property listing pages (projects, flats, plots, commercial, rental, resale, etc.) Advanced search & filters (location, budget, BHK, property type, amenities, status, etc.) Map view (Google Maps or similar integration). Shortlist/favourite properties, compare properties, inquiry forms. Build a robust admin panel to: Add / edit / approve / reject property listings. Manage builders, dealers, owners, and buyer/tenant accounts. Control banners, featured listings, city/area master data, amenities, etc. 2. User & Role Management Implement role-based access for: Buyers / Tenants Owners Dealers / Builders Admin / Sub-admin Manage login, signup, password reset, and profile sections for each user type. 3. Integrations & Automation Integrate: Lead capture forms with email/WhatsApp/CRM. Payment gateway for premium listings / subscriptions (if required). Third-party APIs (maps, location search, maybe SMS/WhatsApp gateways). Set up property alert system (email/WhatsApp) for saved searches or new listings. 4. Performance, Security & Scalability Optimize the portal for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness . Ensure data security , form validations, and protection against basic vulnerabilities (XSS, SQL injection, etc.). Structure the codebase to handle a large number of listings, users, and queries . 5. Maintenance & New Features Fix bugs, improve existing features, and build new modules as business needs evolve. Work closely with the founder/marketing team/design team to implement new ideas (like blogs, project microsites, lead funnels, etc.). Document features, APIs, and database structure properly. Required Skills & Experience Must-Have: 2?5+ years of professional web development experience. Proven experience working on at least one real estate/property portal (either for a client, company, or your own product ? links/portfolio required). Strong knowledge of at least one full-stack web stack , for example: PHP (Laravel / CodeIgniter) or Node.js, OR React / Next.js / Vue.js for front-end. Solid understanding of: Database design (MySQL / PostgreSQL / similar). REST APIs, JSON, third-party API integration. Experience building: Listing-based websites (filters, pagination, search). Admin panels and dashboards from scratch. Strong focus on clean, modular, maintainable code . Good to Have: Experience with Elasticsearch / Algolia / advanced search systems . Hands-on experience with real estate data structures (projects, units, towers, inventory, pricing, status). Knowledge of SEO for portals (server-side rendering, meta tags, schema markup for properties). Experience with AWS / VPS / cloud deployment and basic DevOps. Familiarity with integrating CRMs , WhatsApp APIs, or marketing tools. Personal Attributes We?re looking for someone who is: Solution-oriented ? understands business needs, not just code.
