Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Monitor workflow to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and other departments.
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
- Assign tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct staff briefings and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Assist in recruitment and training of new employees.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Enforce safe working practices and proper use of equipment.
- Report incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement operational procedures and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, warehouse software)
- Forklift licence (preferred, depending on warehouse requirements)
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment.
- May involve lifting, standing, and operating warehouse equipment.
- Shift work or overtime may be required during peak periods.
