Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Web Application Firewall (WAF) Specialist role based in Mumbai. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing Web Application Firewall solutions to protect web applications from security threats. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring WAF policies, monitoring and responding to security events, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with teams to ensure effective security protocols. The position requires staying updated on new security threats and implementing best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Web Application Firewall technologies, including configuration and management
• Strong understanding of Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure web gateways
• Proficiency in analyzing security logs, monitoring threats, and incident response
• Experience in Web Analytics and tools for monitoring application traffic and performance
• Strong technical skills in application security testing and risk assessment
• Knowledge in protocols and vulnerabilities such as HTTP, SSL/TLS, OWASP Top Ten, and DDoS protection
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS GIAC (preferred but not mandatory)
