VP/Head of Enterprise Engineering

Talent Space is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Engineering for our Start Client in the Fintech space.

The Client is an enterprise AI company building advanced AI systems for large-scale organizations across finance, tax, risk, operations, and controllership functions. Our platform combines deep domain expertise with enterprise-grade AI infrastructure to help global enterprises automate complex workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive operational transformation. They are seeking a highly technical and strategic engineering leader to help architect, scale, and operationalize the next generation of our enterprise AI platform.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Engineering to lead the architecture, scalability, integrations, infrastructure strategy, and enterprise deployment execution of our AI platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical executive with deep expertise in enterprise-grade systems, cloud infrastructure, distributed architectures, and enterprise software integrations. You will play a critical leadership role in building scalable, secure, and resilient systems capable of supporting complex AI-driven enterprise operations across global organizations. You will work closely with executive leadership, AI engineering, product, customer success, and enterprise clients to design and implement highly scalable production environments for large-scale enterprise AI deployments.

This is a high-impact leadership position with significant ownership over platform architecture, infrastructure scalability, enterprise integrations, technical execution, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the long-term enterprise architecture strategy for the company’s AI platform.
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure capable of supporting Fortune 100 enterprise deployments.
• Partner with AI engineering and product teams to operationalize large-scale AI and agentic workflows in production environments.
• Lead enterprise systems integration initiatives across platforms such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, Microsoft ecosystems, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems of record.
• Architect and optimize cloud-native infrastructure within Azure and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Establish best practices for platform reliability, observability, performance, security, governance, and scalability.
• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand technical requirements and architect deployment strategies tailored to complex environments.
• Drive technical strategy around multi-tenant architecture, data governance, security isolation, and enterprise compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on product roadmap planning, technical prioritization, and strategic customer initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering and platform teams.
• Define and improve internal engineering processes, deployment methodologies, and operational standards as the company scales globally.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Proven experience architecting and scaling enterprise SaaS, cloud, or AI platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure, preferably within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, containerized infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, compliance, and production deployment best practices.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure for AI/ML, data-intensive, or distributed systems preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage both executive stakeholders and highly technical engineering teams.
• Experience operating within high-growth startup environments or enterprise transformation initiatives preferred.
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on technical execution.

Preferred Experience

• Experience deploying AI systems within regulated or enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with multi-agent AI systems, orchestration frameworks, or enterprise AI tooling.
• Experience with enterprise identity systems, RBAC, SSO, and cloud security architecture.
• Experience supporting global enterprise deployments and customer-facing technical initiatives.
• Background working with Fortune 500 organizations and complex enterprise procurement and security review processes.
