Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Global Head of Compliance to spearhead and scale our international regulatory function. This pivotal role involves architecting a robust global compliance framework, ensuring total adherence across diverse jurisdictions, and facilitating sustainable expansion within a high-velocity, international business landscape.
Description- Global Compliance Strategy: Architect, deploy, and manage a comprehensive compliance roadmap across all existing and future international entities.
- Scalable Governance: Construct robust frameworks, policies, and internal controls designed to support seamless operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Executive Advisory: Act as a strategic advisor to the Board and leadership regarding regulatory shifts, risk landscapes, and mitigation tactics.
- Sanctions & Trade Oversight: Take full ownership of global sanctions compliance, export control protocols, and rigorous screening methodologies.
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a dedicated team of compliance experts and paralegals to ensure high-caliber execution of all workflows.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Engineering, People, Sales, and Partnerships to integrate compliance into the core business lifecycle.
- Due Diligence & Screening: Manage sophisticated screening tools, export classifications, and end-user verification processes.
- Multi-Regional Coverage: Maintain regulatory alignment across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC.
- Data Privacy & Standards: Uphold strict adherence to global data laws (GDPR, CCPA) and specialized frameworks including FAR, ESG, DORA, and AI ethics.
- Regulatory Intelligence: Proactively monitor and interpret international legislative changes to adapt programs ahead of the curve.
- Risk Management: Lead enterprise-wide assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective defensive strategies.
- Internal Controls: Design and audit controls across financial, operational, and cybersecurity domains to ensure total integrity.
- Incident & Investigation: Direct the response to compliance breaches, including thorough investigations and corrective action plans.
- Vendor & Partner Oversight: Manage the Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) ecosystem for all external stakeholders and customers.
- Education & Culture: Develop global training initiatives in tandem with the People team to foster a company-wide culture of integrity.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement automated tools and dashboards to track training effectiveness and streamline compliance documentation.
- Audit Readiness: Support and facilitate major audits and inspections, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and internal regulatory reviews.
- Academic Background: Master’s degree in Law, Governance, Business, or a related Risk Management field.
- Professional Experience: 8–12+ years of progressive leadership in global compliance and risk functions.
- Industry Expertise: Strong preference for candidates from SaaS, DaaS, subscription models, or global commodities/trading backgrounds.
- International Scope: Proven track record of managing complex regulatory requirements across diverse global markets.
- Program Building: Demonstrated ability to scale a compliance function within a rapidly growing international organization.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in sanctions, export controls, privacy regulations, and corporate governance.
- Modern Compliance: Solid grasp of cybersecurity standards and emerging ESG compliance mandates.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience successfully navigating relationships with global regulators, auditors, and enterprise-level clients.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability in policy drafting, analytical reporting, and strategic communication.
