Job Description

Position: Video Post-Production Workflow Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $15–$65/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Demonstrate and document end-to-end video post-production workflows using OpenShot or Shotcut.
Organize, label, and manage raw video assets for efficient editing and archiving.
Apply narrative timing and sequencing techniques to craft compelling visual stories.
Refine rough cuts, adjust transitions, and resolve technical or creative challenges.
Clearly articulate editing decisions and workflow rationale in written and verbal formats.
Collaborate with research teams to provide feedback on workflow capture and AI training needs.
Showcase practical problem-solving approaches that enhance both technical execution and storytelling quality.

Requirements

Proven professional experience editing videos with OpenShot and/or Shotcut.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and detail.
Demonstrated ability to structure edits, control pacing, and solve visual storytelling challenges.
Track record of completing full video projects for commercial, educational, or monetized platforms.
Experience managing and archiving diverse multimedia assets.
Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project requirements in a remote environment.
