Societal Service Organization is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to social betterment and youth empowerment. Established in 2019, the organization has conducted multiple community initiatives, including clothing, food, and blood donation drives. It also runs long-term projects such as Project Annapurna for food waste management and redistribution, Project Swachhta to promote city cleanliness, and Project Unnati focused on urban slum redevelopment through education and poverty reduction. Team members collaborate closely with local communities and partner organizations to deliver sustainable impact and meaningful volunteering opportunities for youth.
Role Description:
This is a part-time hybrid Video Editor role based in Ludhiana, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Video Editor will capture, assemble, and edit video footage for campaigns, social media, event highlights, and project documentation to showcase the organization’s initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing raw footage, selecting impactful clips, applying transitions and effects, syncing audio, and performing basic color correction to maintain a consistent visual style. The role also involves creating simple motion graphics and titles, collaborating with project leads to understand key messages, and adapting content for various digital platforms while aligning with the organization’s mission and brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing to plan shoots, manage footage, and create coherent, compelling videos.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality, maintain consistency, and support the intended mood and tone of each project.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to design titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and visual elements for digital campaigns.
- Proficiency with any of the common video editing software (e.g., Adobee Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and basic graphic tools is preferred.
- Strong storytelling ability, attention to detail, and an understanding of social media formats (Reels, Shorts, YouTube, etc.).
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams and volunteers.
- Prior experience in nonprofit, social impact, or youth-focused projects is an advantage, but motivated learners are encouraged to apply.
