Vice President - Research & Data Science

Key Skills: A deep researcher's mindset combined with hands-on data science experience, and the appetite to tune models to real, practical use cases with both accuracy and comprehensiveness. Strong, practical expertise across the modern data science stack: supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly and outlier detection, graph and network analytics, NLP, entity resolution, and risk scoring. Proven ability to take models from research into robust production at scale, operating in real time with feedback loops and reinforcement learning. Strong grasp of MLOps, model governance, explainability, and the discipline of building AI that stands up to regulatory scrutiny. Thought leadership and the ability to translate ambiguous business and regulatory problems into crisp, solvable data science problems. Experience setting research direction and defining model roadmaps and milestones. Real world experience in FinTech, RegTech, AML, fraud, or financial crime detection will be a significant advantage.

Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in core data science models & maths behind these. PHDs preferred!

Job Location: Chandigarh (IT Park). This position may require travel to client locations for demos and interactions.

IntelleWings is looking for a smart, curious, and deeply technical leader to head one of the verticals of the data science engine behind our AML and mule account detection platform. Our core solution combines the latest software stacks, machine learning models, and cloud technologies to help financial institutions detect and prevent financial crime. As VP of Data Science, you will set our model strategy, lead a passionate agile team of data scientists, and partner closely with engineering and product to architect, build, validate, and continuously ship models into live banking environments.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of research and reality. You'll shape what we build next while ensuring everything we ship is accurate, resilient, and defensible in front of regulators and risk teams. You should be a strong leader who can set direction, define priorities, resolve conflicts, and ensure high quality, timely delivery. You'll need the determination to face the challenges of a demanding startup journey, the ability to manage multiple deliverables under pressure, and the conviction to make hard calls on model design, data strategy, and tradeoffs. We are looking for someone who can empower the next phase of IntelleWings' research and IP value.
