About the Role

Gurukul Code is building an AI powered Career Operating System for India: an adaptive 9-pillar assessment, a living Career Genome profile, an AI Copilot, and a Truth Mode resume builder that helps job seekers present their real experience honestly and effectively. We are hiring a full-time UI/UX Designer to own the visual and interaction design of the product end to end, from the first assessment question to the final exported resume.

Gurukul Code is not a course platform, not a job board, and not a generic resume tool. It diagnoses a user's career clarity gaps, reasons about their whole life context (skills, psychology, finances, family expectations, market timing), and orchestrates an integrated set of products around a single living user profile called the Career Genome.

The core promise to users: every decision inside Gurukul Code is informed by a complete, transparent, evidence backed self-portrait, with explicit reasoning about strengths, blockers, market forces, and timing. Nothing the system claims is presented as 100 percent certain. Every inference carries a confidence score and visible evidence, which is a foundational design constraint, not a feature.

What You Will Do

• Design and ship UI for the assessment flow, results dashboard, roadmap, resume builder, and AI copilot.
• Build and maintain a component library aligned with our design system.
• Turn complex adaptive product logic (branching questions, confidence scoring, archetype detection) into screens that feel simple, guided, and trustworthy.
• Partner closely with engineering and product to ship fast without sacrificing quality.
• Champion accessibility and design consistency across the entire product.

What We Are Looking For

• 2 to 3 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Deep Figma skills and experience working with component based design systems.
• Experience designing data dense or logic heavy products.
• A genuine interest in helping people understand and present their careers honestly.

If you haven't shipped a production feature end to end (not just a case study or concept), this probably isn't the right fit yet.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong portfolio showing end to end product design work, ideally on a SaaS, fintech, edtech, or career platform.
• Fluency in Figma (or equivalent), including auto layout, components, and variants.
• Working knowledge of design systems.
• Comfort designing for data heavy and logic heavy products: adaptive multi-step flows, scoring systems, dashboards with confidence and uncertainty states.
• Demonstrated experience with mobile-first and dark mode design.
• Ability to write or closely collaborate on UX copy in a consistent, encouraging voice.
