Job Description

Position: Certified Public Accountant (India)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $20 - $30/hour

Location: Remote (India)

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Analyze, interpret, and annotate sections of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and related US Treasury Regulations.
Review and assess US tax legal documents for technical accuracy, compliance, and statutory interpretation.
Evaluate individual tax returns (Form 1040) in accordance with current IRS regulations and guidance.
Draft clear summaries and explanations of complex US tax law concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
Identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and statutory exceptions within legal documents and tax regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams through written and verbal communication to deliver high-quality insights.
Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on US tax compliance and legal interpretation.

Requirements

Active Certified Public Accountant (India) qualification.
Strong experience with US Tax Law, the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), and IRS regulations.
Strong experience reviewing legal documents and interpreting tax statutes.
Expertise in preparing or reviewing Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to identify regulatory nuances, statutory exceptions, and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
