UI Developer (React and Next.js)

Project description Join our team as a highly skilled UI Developer who is responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for digital products, with a focus on enhancing the overall user experience. Key responsibilities include building scalable web applications, creating reusable components, collaborating with designers and backend engineers, integrating with APIs, and troubleshooting bugs to ensure a responsive and high-performing application. Essentially, translating UI/UX designs into functional code and ensuring the application is visually appealing and optimized for performance. Responsibilities Frontend/UI development: Responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using the React.js library and the Next.js framework. Build reusable components by creating efficient, modular, and maintainable React components and front-end libraries where possible. Collaboration: Work with designers to translate wireframes, mockups, and Figma designs into code, and with backend engineers to integrate with APIs and other components. Code management: Write, test, and debug code to ensure applications are functional, efficient, and free of errors. This includes writing clean, scalable, and responsive front-end code. Performance optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of applications to ensure they are fast and responsive. Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs and other issues in the codebase to improve overall functionality. Best practices: Implement and maintain best practices for accessibility, security, and performance. Mandatory skills Next.js and React.js: Strong knowledge of the React library, Next.js framework and their ecosystem. MUI components: Using pre-built or customised MUI components to create engaging and functional user interfaces. Version control: Proficiency with version control systems like GIT is crucial for team-based development. Build tools: Familiarity with front-end build tools like Visual Studio and package managers like NPM is essential. Testing: Experience with testing frameworks and knowledge of best practices is expected. Familiarity with Docker: Docker Image Management, Docker Container Operations, Docker Compose, CI/CD Integration, Troubleshooting and Debugging are expected. Any experience with Docker on a mainframe is a plus. Nice to have skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills
