Role Description The UAV Pilot will operate agricultural drones for precision spraying across assigned farmlands in the Pune Division. This full-time, on-site role involves planning flight paths, preparing drones and spray equipment, conducting pre- and post-flight inspections, and ensuring safe, accurate application according to field requirements. The UAV Pilot will coordinate with field staff and farmers to understand crop needs, document operations, and maintain logs of flights, coverage, and inputs used. The role also includes routine maintenance checks, adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, and reporting any technical issues to the operations and technical teams.
Qualifications

• Ability to operate UAVs safely and accurately, including basic troubleshooting of drone hardware and software.
• Skills in field operations planning, such as understanding farm layouts, flight planning, and time-efficient coverage of acreage.
• Basic understanding of agricultural practices, crop protection, and safe handling of agrochemicals.
• Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Capability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather and field conditions.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with farmers, field teams, and supervisors.
• Relevant certifications or licenses for drone/UAV operation as required by local regulations (or willingness to obtain them).
• Prior experience in UAV flying, agricultural fieldwork, or precision agriculture is an advantage.
• Comfort with using mobile apps or handheld devices for flight control, navigation, and reporting.
• Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous learning of new technologies.
