Position Summary

We are seeking a user acceptance tester/project manager for accounting with strong accounting knowledge to validate SAP-based financial systems and reporting workflows. This role requires expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules, with a strong understanding of general ledger, asset accounting, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and integration with other SAP modules. The ideal candidate will collaborate with finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient financial operations, compliance, and continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans and test cases that validate accounting requirements and business scenarios.
Validate journal entries, ledger postings, and tax calculations across multiple scenarios
Collaborate with finance, tax, and SAP functional teams to ensure business rules are correctly implemented
Validate that the system meets the functional needs of end-users and adheres to company standards and auditing requirements.
Provide clear, concise feedback on test results and system performance to stakeholders.
Ensure all necessary documentation, such as SOX forms, is completed for assigned projects.
Perform regression testing for financial workflows, including month-end and year-end close
Test integration between SAP and external systems (e.g., e-commerce platforms, tax engines)
Document defects, root causes, and retest outcomes using tools like JIRA
Ensure compliance with SOX, GST/VAT, and other regulatory frameworks
Provide functional expertise in SAP S/4 HANA SAP FI/CO modules, covering General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (AA)
Serve as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external consultants
Support continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and emerging technologies
Provide project management support for accounting/finance projects

Requirements

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and GL structure
Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO modules and financial reporting tools
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business or a related field
4 to 6 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA R2R processes
Experience supporting full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades, including SAP S/4HANA
Understanding of SAP S/4HANA integration with other SAP S/4HANA modules such as Order to Cash (OTC) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
Strong project management skills, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
SAP certification in SD or S/4HANA is a plus
SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud experience a plus
Experience in data validation and reconciliation
Excellent documentation and defect tracking skills
Strong analytical mindset with attention to audit trails and financial accuracy
