Description About the Role : We are looking for a highly skilled QA Performance Engineer with strong expertise in automation, performance testing, and validation of digital and IoT-based platforms. The candidate will be responsible for designing test strategies, developing automated tests, executing performance test suites, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of applications across web, mobile, API, and IoT ecosystems. This role requires a solid foundation in automation frameworks, scripting, cloud-based environments, and CI/CD workflows. Key Responsibilities Test Automation & Functional QA : Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web, mobile, and API platforms using Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, and other relevant tools. Create robust and scalable test frameworks using Python or Java. Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing as part of Agile/Scrum development cycles. Validate APIs using Postman, Swagger, and contract validation frameworks. Performance & Load Testing Plan, design, and execute performance, load, and stress tests using JMeter or equivalent tools. Analyze performance bottlenecks, latency issues, throughput metrics, and scalability concerns. Work closely with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to optimize performance metrics and ensure system reliability. IoT Testing Test IoT ecosystems including device-to-cloud and cloud-to-device workflows. Validate communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and analyze device telemetry and event streams. Ensure reliability, connectivity, and responsiveness of IoT devices under different conditions. CI/CD & Deployment Support Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or similar tools. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous testing across environments. Utilize Docker containers for test environment setup and execution. Cloud & Monitoring Work with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for test deployments and validation. Use monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar platforms to track performance, logs, metrics, and system health during tests. Documentation & Collaboration Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and performance reports. Log defects with detailed analysis and work with cross-functional teams to support bug resolution. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in QA automation and performance testing, ideally in digital or IoT-based environments. Strong hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, and JMeter. Proficiency in Python or Java for test automation scripting. Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, and contract validation frameworks. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Good To Have Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD integration for automated testing. Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog. Experience with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and real-time device-cloud interaction testing. (ref:hirist.tech)
