American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring specialized experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart care on night shift.
Details- Hospital-based Cardiovascular ICU setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Specialized experience required with advanced cardiac support devices and procedures including Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart day 2 care
- 13-week contract
- Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Proficiency with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart care required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Full date of birth required for consideration
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, including documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning and hospital procedure education
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — travelers must be fully cleared by the compliance due date or risk cancellation
- BSN is preferred but not required
