Job Summary

As a Travel Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for converting inbound travel inquiries into confirmed bookings by understanding customer requirements, recommending the most suitable travel solutions, and maximizing revenue through effective sales techniques. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong sales abilities, and prior experience in the travel industry.

Candidates with experience at MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, EaseMyTrip, Yatra, Booking.com, Agoda, Cleartrip, Expedia, or other leading Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert inbound travel inquiries into confirmed bookings for domestic and international flights, hotels, and holiday packages.
  • Understand customer travel requirements and recommend the best travel solutions based on their preferences and budget.
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Upsell and cross-sell travel products, including hotels, travel insurance, visa assistance, and holiday packages.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative selling and exceptional service.
  • Prepare fare quotations, plan itineraries, and manage booking modifications, cancellations, and travel assistance.
  • Stay updated with airline fares, travel regulations, promotional offers, and destination knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and follow-up activities using the CRM system.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally to ensure a seamless booking experience.
  • Coordinate with ticketing and operations teams for timely ticket issuance and post-booking support.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Travel Sales within the Indian travel industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling domestic and international flight tickets, hotels, and holiday packages.
  • Strong knowledge of airline fare structures, routing, travel products, and booking processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Graduation preferred (relevant travel sales experience will also be considered).

  • Strong sales closing and conversion skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
  • Customer-centric approach with outstanding relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and travel booking platforms.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and performance-driven mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure sales environment.
