Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring proficiency with advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, IABP, and ECMO on night shifts.

Details
  • Work setting is a hospital Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract
  • Proficiency required with advanced cardiac support devices: Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), CRRT, and ECMO
  • Experience with post open heart day 2 care and heart recovery required
Requirements
  • Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Proficiency with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart care required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
  • Collaborates with patients and families to communicate care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • BSN is preferred but not required
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for a new contract
  • Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
