Behavioral Health/Psych RN - Night Shift

West Virginia

This is a 13-week contract position.

Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), weekdays, every other weekend.

The Behavioral Health/Psych RN is responsible for providing care to adults with various mental health diagnoses. This includes conducting assessments, administering medications, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during their stay. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.


• Administer medications and implement treatment plans.


• Provide crisis intervention and support during behavioral emergencies.


• Document patient information and care provided accurately.


• Assist with group therapy and psychoeducation activities.


• Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Minimum of 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience required.


• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact state license.


• Certifications: BCLS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), and First Aid; CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation.


• Experience with mental health disorders, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders, preferred.
