Job Description – Trader (Client Execution)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 3–8 Years

Industry: Proprietary Trading / Capital Markets / Securities

Role Objective

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trader responsible for executing client trades on recognized exchanges. The

ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traded contracts, market dynamics, and execution-related risks, along with

excellent analytical and Excel skills. The role requires logical thinking, precision, and a high level of accountability while

handling client orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute client trades accurately and efficiently on designated exchanges
• Thoroughly understand the financial instruments and contracts being traded (equities, derivatives, commodities, etc.)
• Assess and manage risks involved during trade execution, including price risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk
• Ensure compliance with exchange rules, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor market movements and take informed decisions during trade execution
• Maintain accurate trade records and reconciliation reports
• Coordinate with internal teams (risk, compliance, operations) to ensure smooth trade settlement
• Handle client queries related to trade execution professionally and promptly
  
  

Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of exchange-traded contracts and market structure
• Solid knowledge of trade execution risks and mitigation techniques
• High proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Strong logical and analytical thinking abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-moving market conditions
• Good communication and coordination skills
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field
• Relevant certifications (NISM, CFA, or equivalent) are a plus
• Prior experience in client-facing or execution trading roles
