Job Description Tool Design Engineer

Assist in designing and drafting tools, jigs, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment. This includes creating technical drawings, 3D models, and design specifications using CAD software e.g., AutoCAD.
Support in the creation and testing of prototypes for new tool designs, ensuring they meet functional, safety, and durability standards.
Perform basic calculations related to material strength, stress analysis, and other engineering principles to validate tool designs.
Work with senior engineers and production teams to understand tool requirements, production processes, and optimization needs.
Maintain accurate records of design work, modifications, and technical specifications.
Identify design issues and help in troubleshooting problems related to tool functionality, efficiency, and quality.
Contribute to ongoing design improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and process optimization in tool manufacturing.

Job Specification

Diploma/ Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of CAD software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
