Tier 2 Systems Administrator

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the IT Director, the Tier 2 Systems Administrator will deliver, support, and continuously improve IT services across a multi-site industrial environment (~100 users across 3 locations).

This role is a unique hybrid of advanced technical administration and hands-on operational support. You will ensure maximum system stability and strong user experience across our corporate offices, production plants, and laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Systems & Platform Administration: Maintain and optimize core business applications, with a heavy focus on NetSuite (ERP), MaintainX (CMMS), Canary Historian, and QBench (LIMS).
• Cloud & Identity Management: Administer Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD (MFA, conditional access, device compliance).
• Infrastructure & Networking: Support site-level network reliability (HPE/Aruba switches, wireless, VLANs, VPNs) across a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment.
• IT Service Delivery: Provide advanced end-user support for office and production-floor devices (laptops, industrial PCs, iPads), taking full ownership of Tier 1 escalations.
• Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary technical interface between internal operations and external SaaS vendors, MSPs, and partners.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on Tier 1 IT systems administration experience.
• 2+ years of dedicated Tier 2 IT support experience.
• Deep understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot critical infrastructure to maintain production uptime in an industrial setting.
• Strong documentation skills and a highly independent, proactive work ethic.

Preferred Technical Highlights:

• Direct experience with NetSuite ERP and/or CMMS platforms.
• Background working within manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, endpoint security, and basic scripting (PowerShell preferred).
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365 Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+).
