Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible to provide technical/testing support to assigned system, associated subsystems, applications, software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, as well as resolving the technical issues. The Jobholder also provides support for applications software and systems including applications administration as applicable

Responsibilities

• Functional & Specialized Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing on LoanIQ modules, including commercial lending, syndicated lending, deal setup, drawdowns, interest, fees, amendments, and payoffs.
• Automation Development: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver with Core Java, REST-Assured for API testing, and Cucumber.
• Test Strategy & Documentation: Design test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices based on Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
• Backend & API Validation: Perform database validations using complex SQL queries and validate JSON/XML response data via API testing tools (Postman).
• Defect Management & Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA, ALM, or Bugzilla, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Agile & Collaboration: Participate in scrum ceremonies, work with developers and business analysts, and ensure adherence to QA processes.
• Regression Testing: Ensure system stability by conducting automated regression testing, particularly when 3rd party systems are involved
• Ensures data usage is always compliant with PCI/DDS regulation

Mandatory skills

• Total 8-10 years of IT experience
• 5+ years experience in Digital Transformation and Agile Ways of Working. Has substantial experience and expertise in agile delivery techniques and methodologies to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of services.
• 6+ years of experience in LoanIQ Functional Testing
• Manual and Automation
• Banking and Financial Services domain knowledge is must. Functional and technical understanding of critical systems and banking services.
• Experience in HTML5,React/Flutter, Java / J2EE, Java Beans, LDAP/SSO, Restful API, Web Services.
• Strong hands on experience in DevOps CI/CD tool chain especially using Gitlab , Jenkins
• Knowledge of integrating Automation Tests to CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of API Automation and service virtualization would be added advantage
• Strong understanding of LoanIQ Capabilities including but not limited to Corporate lending and syndicated lending functions
• Exposure to working on Agile projects, Zephyr and Jira Tool
• Hands on Experience On below deliverables: Test Strategy Document, Test Scenario Identification, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Test Case Design, Test Data Requirement, Test Execution
• System Integration Testing and Regression Testing, Defect Reporting, Daily Status Report

Nice to have skills

• Knowledge of API Automation and service virtualization would be added advantage
