Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify defects early in the development lifecycle and ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements
Conduct manual and automated testing to identify software defects, glitches, and performance bottlenecks
Document and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira), providing clear steps for reproduction
Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning to provide input on testability and edge-case identification
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and verify fixes in subsequent builds
Maintain and update the automated test suite to keep pace with new feature development
Perform regression, integration, and system testing to ensure overall product stability

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or a similar role
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
Proficiency in writing test cases and managing bug life cycles
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript)
Experience with SQL for database verification
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
