Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive QA strategies for complex e-commerce systems, covering frontend applications, backend services (Node.js/Java), payment gateways, inventory systems, and order fulfillment workflows. Define quality metrics and establish quality gates for all releases.
• Architect and develop test automation frameworks using Java/JavaScript/TypeScript with advanced patterns such as Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and parallel execution. Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure validation at every code commit.
• Develop strong expertise in API testing for complex e-commerce microservices. Test payment APIs, inventory management services, recommendation engines, and third-party integrations while validating performance, security, and data consistency.
• Conduct performance, load, stress, and scalability testing for e-commerce platforms. Design realistic test scenarios that simulate seasonal traffic spikes, flash sales, and high concurrent user loads, and analyze results to recommend system optimizations.
• Write advanced SQL queries for comprehensive data validation across order management, customer data, inventory systems, and financial records. Validate ETL processes supporting catalog updates, data synchronization, and transaction logging.
• Lead QA initiatives related to security and compliance, including PCI-DSS compliance validation, GDPR compliance verification, and fraud prevention testing. Establish security testing protocols and conduct penetration testing for payment systems and customer data flows.
• Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, participate in technical interviews, and establish QA standards across the organization. Drive continuous improvements in test coverage, automation maturity, and quality practices.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for new e-commerce features such as cart persistence, wishlist functionality, personalized recommendations, multi-region support, and promotional campaigns. Balance manual and automated testing based on risk assessment and release timelines.
