About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to drive sales growth, customer acquisition, and portfolio management within the assigned territory. The role involves leading sales teams, achieving business targets, managing channel relationships, and ensuring adherence to operational and risk processes.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in retail lending, team management, market development, and customer engagement within the Banking/NBFC ecosystem.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Growth

  • Drive business growth and achieve sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans in line with business objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities and expand customer acquisition channels.
  • Monitor competition, market trends, and customer preferences.

Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen customer relationships to enhance business growth.
  • Support teams in handling complex customer cases and escalations.
  • Ensure superior customer experience and service standards.

Operational & Portfolio Management

  • Drive operational efficiency across sourcing, approvals, servicing, and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, risk, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency, and credit risk indicators.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams to drive high performance.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and regular performance feedback.
  • Build a strong sales culture focused on productivity and business outcomes.

Cross-functional Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Risk, Operations, HR, and other internal teams for seamless execution.
  • Work closely with regional leadership to implement sales and growth strategies.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate/Postgraduate with 6–8 years of sales experience in Banking/NBFC.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in retail lending/micro loans/affordable loans/unsecured lending.
  • Strong understanding of sales, portfolio management, and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving business targets and managing teams.
