Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Technician will assist in installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining electronic security systems such as CCTV, biometric access control, intercoms, video door phones, public address systems, and networking components. Daily responsibilities include field visits to client sites, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed in service reports. The role involves working closely with senior technicians and project engineers to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and safety standards. The Technician will also provide basic user guidance to clients on system operation and support the after-sales and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) service process.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in installation and maintenance of electronic security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intercom, video door phones).
- Strong knowledge of networking and structured cabling, including IP-based systems, routers/switches, and cable management.
- Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and system configuration issues.
- Familiarity with safety practices, use of hand tools and test equipment, and adherence to installation standards.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals.
- Prior experience as a field technician, service engineer, or similar role in security or low-voltage systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally for on-site work, work in varied environments, and occasionally handle extended hours based on project needs.
