Technical Sales Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Sales Engineer role based in Kolkata. The Technical Sales Engineer will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their manufacturing challenges and propose suitable AI, machine vision, and automation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical presentations, conducting product demonstrations, supporting proof-of-concept deployments, and responding to technical inquiries before and after sales. The role involves close collaboration with the engineering team to tailor solutions, create accurate proposals, and ensure smooth implementation. The Technical Sales Engineer will also maintain ongoing account relationships, provide technical support, gather feedback to inform product improvements, and help meet revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Technical Sales and Sales skills to identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive solution-based sales.
• Candidates should possess Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to translate technical capabilities into customer value and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and confident presentation abilities.
• Relevant experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, AI, machine vision, or robotics is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site with customers in and around Kolkata, including occasional travel as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Comfort with CRM tools, preparing technical documentation, and managing multiple customer engagements in parallel.
