Job Overview
We are seeking a technically strong Sales Engineer responsible for the promotion, sales, and business development of power products and solutions for digital substations. The portfolio includes Substation Automation and Protection & Control systems such as IEDs, RTUs, SCADA, and DMS, along with protection relays, electro-mechanical relays, capacitors & filters, and dry transformers. Experience in technical sales and exposure to leading OEM products is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage promotion and sales of assigned power products and digital substation solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, EPC contractors, consultants, and industrial customers
• Understand customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions in coordination with internal teams
• Support tendering, bidding, and commercial negotiations
• Coordinate with engineering and application teams for technical clarifications and project execution
• Achieve assigned sales targets while tracking market and competitor activities
Technical Knowledge & Skills
• Understanding of substation automation, protection & control systems, and power system applications
• Knowledge of protection relays, transformers, switchgear, and associated substation equipment
• Familiarity with products from leading OEM manufacturers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university
• Diploma holders with relevant experience in power products and substation solutions may also be considered
• Proven experience in technical sales of power products is mandatory
• Experience working with utilities, industries, or EPC companies preferred
