As a Global Talent Sourcer at Alation, you will shape our hiring pipeline and enable our rapid global growth. Reporting to our Global Recruiting team, you’ll partner cross-functionally with leaders in Marketing, Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, G&A, and Customer Success. You’ll deliver measurable impact by building diverse pipelines and ensuring a candidate experience that reflects Alation’s values and ambition.
Core Impact Areas
Talent Discovery & Engagement
- Source, engage, and activate top passive talent using Boolean search, LinkedIn, and creative sourcing strategies.
- Execute targeted searches to increase the diversity and depth of candidate pipelines.
- Initiate outreach through tailored messaging and strategic networking across digital platforms.
- Conduct initial screening calls, presenting Alation’s mission and opportunities to inspire candidate interest.
- Partner with in-house recruiters to support searches for roles at every level, across all global locations.
Pipeline & Process Leadership
- Build and maintain robust pipelines for current and future hiring needs; track outcomes in our ATS (Workday) and relevant tools.
- Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Instahyre, Naukri, Hirist etc)Engage with prospective candidates through social media platforms and professional networking sites, including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Indeed, Instahyre, Naukri, and Hirist.
- Analyze market data and talent trends to identify high-impact sourcing channels.
- Draft, revise, and optimize job descriptions and postings to enhance our brand and attract the right talent.
- Collaborate to drive continuous improvement in sourcing effectiveness and candidate experience.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of direct sourcing experience in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies, including passive candidate engagement and diversity-focused outreach.
- Experience supporting US-based and global searches; familiarity with multiple markets.
- Technical fluency—comfortable understanding role requirements across technical and business functions.
- Proficiency with ATS (Workday preferred), Excel, and web-based recruiting platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to influence and build relationships across functions.
- Ownership mindset—self-driven, accountable, and resourceful; thrives in dynamic environments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
