Technical Product Manager
Agivant Technologies
Job Description
Role Overview
This is a deeply technical, delivery-focused Product Manager role. You will own the product end-to-end and act as the connective tissue between customers, engineering, design, go-to-market (GTM), and leadership teams.
We are looking for a systems thinker and a closer—someone who can move seamlessly from a customer conversation to a whiteboard, to a PRD, to a shipped and measurable feature while thriving in structured chaos.
Equally important, you are the person who gets things done. You build trust with clients, translate ambiguity into clear solutions, drive technical teams to deliver on time, and turn even the sparsest customer input into precise, build-ready requirements.
Core Responsibilities
Roadmap & Strategy
- Define, prioritize, and evolve the product roadmap from vision through delivery and iteration.
- Balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility when making prioritization decisions.
Project Management & Delivery
- Own the full delivery lifecycle, including planning, scoping, sequencing, risk management, and on-time releases.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and trade-offs across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Run effective sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery cadences to keep work unblocked and progressing.
- Maintain scope, quality, and deadlines while communicating status and risks clearly to leadership.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and serve as a credible and confident point of contact.
- Lead discovery conversations, product demonstrations, and feedback sessions while representing the customer’s voice internally.
- Manage expectations across customers and internal stakeholders, negotiating scope and priorities when necessary.
Solutioning
- Translate ambiguous business and customer problems into clear, practical solution options.
- Partner with engineering teams on solution design, technical trade-offs, and the path from problem to product.
- Clearly define the "what" and "why" so the team can confidently own the "how."
Requirements & User Stories
- Take minimal customer input—sometimes just keywords or a rough idea—and expand it into complete, well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
- Fill gaps intelligently by inferring intent, identifying edge cases, and validating assumptions before they reach the team.
- Produce clear PRDs and user stories that engineering and design teams can execute with minimal back-and-forth.
Driving Technical Execution
- Drive outcomes through the technical team, influencing engineers without relying on formal authority.
- Engage deeply in architecture discussions, technical trade-offs, and system design decisions.
- Remove blockers, hold teams accountable to commitments, and ensure roadmap execution.
Data, Design & Performance
- Use product analytics, customer feedback, and business metrics to inform prioritization decisions.
- Partner with UX/UI teams to improve usability, workflows, and overall customer experience.
- Define, monitor, and report on KPIs such as activation, retention, expansion, and revenue impact.
Requirements
Technical Depth
- Ability to explain product architecture, data flows, and database design decisions.
- Comfortable discussing and debating technical trade-offs with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with cloud-native systems, APIs, and distributed architectures.
Delivery & Project Management
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-team initiatives on time.
- Strong command of project management fundamentals, including planning, dependency management, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Client Engagement & Solutioning
- Demonstrated ability to engage directly with clients, build trust, and manage long-term relationships.
- Skilled at transforming vague or keyword-level input into clear solutions and build-ready requirements.
End-to-End Ownership
- Proven ability to own a product roadmap and make difficult decisions under ambiguity.
- Able to clearly articulate personal contributions to product decisions and business outcomes.
Execution & Impact
- Strong structured problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues.
- Demonstrated impact through measurable outcomes, such as:
- Improved product adoption or retention by X%
- Increased ARR or revenue by X%
- Reduced delivery timelines by X%
- Improved operational efficiency or customer satisfaction by X%
