Job description Role Summary We are seeking a Tech Lead with 6+ years of experience in data engineering, specializing in Azure and Snowflake platforms. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale data solutions, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in cloud data architecture and governance. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of scalable data warehousing and analytics solutions using Snowflake and Azure cloud platforms. Architect, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and related technologies. Manage deployment, configuration, and administration of Snowflake environments, ensuring security, compliance, and high performance. Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across all data platforms. Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Automate data integration and transformation processes using Python, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organization?s data infrastructure. Required Skills & Experience 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or tech lead role. Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps). Deep expertise in Snowflake: data warehousing, query optimization, administration, and integration. Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and library development. Experience with ETL tools, SQL, data modeling, and distributed data processing frameworks. Demonstrated leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with cloud streaming technologies (e.g., Snowpipe, Azure Event Hubs). Familiarity with API development and integration in cloud environments.
