Job Title: Team Lead – Compliance Program

Location: Gurgaon, Haryana

Department: Legal & Compliance

Reporting To: Head of Compliance

Experience: 1-2 years (preferred in regulatory, legal or compliance-related roles)

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Team Lead to manage and drive the organization’s compliance program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all licensing and regulatory requirements and related document management are met in a timely and structured manner, while also collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • License Management
  • Identify applicable licenses and permissions required for business operations across regions.
  • Apply for new licenses and ensure renewal/closure of the process on time.
  • Maintain a central tracker and repository of all licenses and compliance documents.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate and liaise with relevant government departments, regulatory bodies, consultants, and internal teams to gather and submit required documentation.
  • Build a network of contacts across the regulatory ecosystem for efficient resolution of queries.
  • Process Management & Structured Execution
  • Design and implement structured processes to track, escalate, and close compliance-related tasks.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure SLAs are met in all compliance activities.
  • Proactively flag risks and non-compliance issues.
  • Data & Reporting
  • Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze compliance data, create reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Manage all related documents and create physical and digital repositories for the same
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work with the Legal, Operations, Finance, and HR teams to ensure coordinated compliance across departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Law, CS, Public Policy, or related fields). MBA/LLB is a plus.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, or licensing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle license applications and government interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to extract and compile information from diverse sources.
  • Structured thinking with strong attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) – formulas, filtering, pivot tables, basic reporting.
  • Self-driven, process-oriented and outcome-focused.
