Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teaching Assistant role based in Bengaluru. The Teaching Assistant will support classroom teachers in delivering lessons, preparing teaching materials, and organizing learning activities aligned with the institution’s educational goals. Daily responsibilities include assisting with instruction, helping learners understand concepts (with a focus on subjects such as mathematics where applicable), monitoring student progress, and providing individual support to children who need additional guidance. The role also involves maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment, supporting co-curricular activities, coordinating with educators and staff, and engaging with parents or guardians as needed to enhance student learning and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Assistant Teaching skills and experience supporting educators in classroom or learning environments.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with children, educators, and parents.
  • Candidates should possess foundational Education-related knowledge, such as understanding of teaching methods and child-centered learning approaches.
  • Candidates should possess competence in Mathematics sufficient to assist with basic to intermediate math instruction and student support.
  • Candidates should possess aptitude for Working With Children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and the ability to create a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Previous experience in schools, learning centers, or NGOs focused on education and community upliftment is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, adapt to different learning needs, and uphold the organization’s values and commitment to social transformation.
