About The Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rachel Contracting plays a vital role in attracting, identifying, and hiring top talent to support our expanding operations. This position involves working closely with leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless hiring process. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, conducting interviews, and managing the onboarding process to foster a positive candidate experience. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with potential hires and internal teams. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also contribute to promoting our company culture and core values to prospective employees, helping Rachel Contracting maintain its reputation as an employer of choice in the industry.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in talent acquisition or a related industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of recruitment best practices, employment laws, and industry trends. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders. Excellent communication, analytical abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset are crucial for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should also be willing to travel as needed for recruitment events or interviews. Prior experience with applicant tracking systems and social media recruiting platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership and hiring managers to identify workforce needs, define roles, and evaluate talent requirements.
  • Source potential candidates through job boards, social media, professional networking platforms, company websites, college/trade school job fairs, industry events, and other channels.
  • Review resumes, cover letters, and other application materials to identify qualified candidates who meet the specific job requirements for both union and corporate roles.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings, in-person interviews, and in-depth assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process, and facilitate job offers and negotiations.
  • Assist new employees with onboarding procedures to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates to create a positive experience and develop a talent pipeline for future opportunities.
  • Promote the company’s culture and core values to attract prospective hires and enhance employer branding.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal regulations, and best practices related to talent acquisition and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate effectively with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely employee data management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold the integrity of the recruitment process.
  • Support Business Development and Marketing teams with event coordination and outreach initiatives to enhance recruitment efforts.
