System Engineer

Job Description

Education: M. Tech. / B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/ Systems, Mechanical, Computer Science, Physics or Biomedical Engineering or Equivalent Engineering Experience: 4-8 years of relevant experience in design & development of electro-mechanical, sensor based sub-systems & systems. Location : Philips HIC, Pune Roles & Responsibilities Minimum 5 years engineering / R&D experience in a rigorous quality-focused environment Minimum four years? experience in a Systems Engineering role, or a role having overall systems responsibility involving electrical (analog and digital), firmware, software and mechanical development disciplines Hand on experience in System Engineering activities of assigned product(s)/product line(s) as per the global system engineering process and should work with System architect to handle System design activities for Product lifecycle Should ensure requirements for components and subsystems are complete and in time, including requirement elicitation and alignment of a broad set of stakeholders Structuring and supporting execution of these activities in multidisciplinary teams, as leading systems engineer. Able to guide and mentor young engineers in the team. Knowledge of performing risk management, various Safety and EMC IEC standards, and verification and validation of product Working knowledge of design for EMI/EMC , Design for reliability, and Usability Knowledge of good design practices and experienced with DFMEA. Solid OEM / ODM / CM experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the design meets their expectations and needs, Result oriented and disciplined team worker, ability to work independently and with cross-functional team. Ensure detailed/ Structured documentation practices and decision making for the design (e.g. Design calculations, FMEA) Experience in the various areas of a product lifecycle (Definition, Development, Test, Production, Services) Ability to present and articulate product innovation ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt certification or professional certification in System engineering with actual project experience is a plus.
