Job Description

Role Description

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Windows Server infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
Administer VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN) and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including HA, DRS, clustering, vMotion, and capacity management.
Manage server lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Monitor infrastructure health, system performance, storage utilization, and capacity planning to ensure maximum availability.
Support enterprise storage platforms (SAN/NAS), storage replication, snapshots, and backup integration.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, storage, and virtualization issues while minimizing business impact.

Microsoft Azure & Hybrid Cloud

Maintain hybrid identity using Azure AD Connect.
Monitor Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and native monitoring tools.

Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Services

Assist users and application teams with Microsoft 365 and collaboration platform issues.

Messaging Security

Maintain email authentication standards including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Collaborate with security teams to investigate phishing attempts, malware campaigns, and email-related security incidents.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and routine administrative tasks.
Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives and CI/CD integration where applicable.
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

Operations & Support

Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and service requests.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for business-critical systems outside normal business hours.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Administration, or Platform Engineering.
Strong experience managing hybrid infrastructure consisting of on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments.
Hands-on experience administering enterprise virtualization platforms.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
Experience implementing enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
