Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac), servers, applications, and network hardware (LAN/WAN).
• Maintenance & Monitoring: Perform regular upgrades, updates, security patches, and performance monitoring to prevent downtime.
• Security: Implement security measures, manage firewalls, antivirus, user permissions, and conduct security testing
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for both systems and end-users.
• User Support: Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and provide technical assistance to employees.
• Backup & Recovery: Plan and execute data backup strategies and disaster recovery measures.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements.

Essential Skills & Qualifications (Typical)

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS).
• Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are beneficial.
