The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in RHEL, Ubuntu, KVM, ESXi, and leverage Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform to automate deployment workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesVirtualization & On-Prem Infrastructure
- ESXi & VMware: Manage, patch, and optimize vSphere clusters, vCenter, and ESXi hosts. Handle resource allocation, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
- KVM & Linux Virtualization: Administer KVM-based environments, including Proxmox or libvirt management, ensuring high performance for virtualized workloads.

- Conduct advanced troubleshooting of system bottlenecks (CPU, Memory, I/O) and network connectivity issues.
- Maintain local repositories and patch management systems (Satellite, Landscape, or Apt mirror).
- Kubernetes & Docker: Deploy and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters on-prem. Manage container runtimes (Docker/containerd) and troubleshoot pod/service failures.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to provision local infrastructure and Ansible for configuration management and day-two operations.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines. Implement GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD or Flux) to ensure the infrastructure state matches the Git repository.
- Virtualization: VMware vSphere 7/8, ESXi, KVM, QEMU
- Operating Systems: RHEL (7/8/9), Ubuntu Server (20.04/22.04/24.04)
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Helm
- Automation: Ansible (Playbooks/Roles), Terraform (Providers/Modules)

- Experience with on-prem storage protocols (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, NFS).
- Knowledge of monitoring stacks (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK).
- Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash.
