We are seeking a skilled Support Engineer with strong experience in Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Networking, and Database Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining HIS applications while ensuring system availability, network stability, and database integrity. The role involves close coordination with hospital staff, vendors, and internal technical teams to maintain seamless healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1/L2 support to end users and resolve application, system, network, and operational issues within defined SLAs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues including LAN/WAN, IP configurations, and hospital network infrastructure supporting HIS operations.
• Perform SQL queries, database troubleshooting, and performance monitoring for issue analysis, reporting, and data validation.
• Manage and monitor database activities including backup, restoration, and data integrity checks.
• Support server and virtualization environments using VMware / Hyper-V.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for system updates, integrations, patches, and technical issue resolution.
• Provide support for IT infrastructure including servers, network devices, and healthcare peripherals such as printers, scanners, and barcode devices.
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies, network security practices, data privacy standards, and backup procedures.
• Conduct end-user training and provide documentation to ensure effective system usage.
• Provide implementation, configuration, and post-go-live support for HIS modules including Registration, Billing, EMR, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Radiology.
• Manage HIS administration and user access, including role-based permissions and user lifecycle management.
• Work closely with hospital IT teams to maintain stable network and database environments supporting HIS operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management including query writing, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN connectivity, IP addressing, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup, restoration, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, servers, and healthcare peripherals.
• Understanding of IT security practices, network security, and data protection policies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to support and train end users in a hospital environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working in hospitals or healthcare IT environments.
• Exposure to HIS integrations with third-party systems and medical devices.
• Understanding of hospital network environments supporting HIS applications.
• Willingness to work in client space (hospital premises) as part of support operations.
• Willingness to travel within Karnataka, if required.
