JOB TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

LOCATION: NAVI MUMBAI

JOB ROLE: Responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring material availability, optimum inventory levels, timely deliveries and high customer service levels while minimizing inventory and logistics costs.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Inventory and demand planning
  • Effective stock management


REPORTING TO: Head of Department


RESPONSIBLITIES:


  • Manage inventory planning, safety stock, reorder levels and inventory ageing across all warehouses.
  • Develop demand forecasts and procurement plans based on sales trends and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and supplier deliveries to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
  • Manage vendor performance, lead times, pricing and alternate supplier development.
  • Oversee import operations, customs clearance and shipment tracking.
  • Ensure warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance and stock audits.
  • Manage logistics, dispatches, transporters and delivery performance.
  • Maintain SAP master data and generate supply chain reports.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales to ensure realistic delivery commitments.
  • Preparing Sales report, Shipment status reports, Lost offer report, Stock status report, etc.
  • Resolve supply-related customer issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service levels.


AGE: 30 onwards


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or a related field (Master’s preferred)

DESIRABLE: Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL: 7 –10 years of experience in handling warehouse operations.

DESIRABLE: Experience in any engineering manufacturing industry with SAP background.

DESIRABLE SKILL SETS:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, warehouse management and process improvement
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems or other sales management tools
  • Willingness to travel for warehouse visits as needed


EXTENT OF DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: All decisions to be taken in consultation with the HOD


RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISING ACTIVITES OF: Warehouse team (Team of 10-12)
