Job Description
To ensure smooth functioning of all activities in LAB and to carry out various activities in LAB for testing purpose To ensure proper inspection of raw material in plant and to verify their test certificates To prepare and maintain data and reports for various review purpose To ensure health and safety of Man and Machine To act as a stable bridge for any and all type of communication

Principal Accountabilities
Ensure the smooth functioning of all laboratory activities including the availability of Third Party Inspection TPI before testing activities commencebr Perform mechanical chemical and NACE testing in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans ITP and process chartsbr Conduct control testing of samples per heat and select sample pipes after completing all NonDestructive Testing NDT and cutting as per approved Quality Assurance Plans QAP and sampling plansbr Coordinate with the machine shop to prepare samples ensuring they meet applicable standardsbr Inspect incoming raw materials as per Raw Material Test Certificates RMTC and Raw Material Test Data Certificates RMTDC allocate internal numbers and apply color codes for grade identificationbr Review raw material test certificates for flux and wires as per ASME Section II C and applicable work instructionsbr Prepare and maintain data and reports for various review purposes including scrap generation reports coil inspection reports and testing activity work instructionsbr Maintain all testing records as per QAPITP and prepare Management Review Meeting MRM Quality Review Meeting QRM and Failure to Report FTR reports for data analysisbr Address customer complaints and requirements prepare draft annexures for final pipe release from SAP and maintain daily and weekly coil yard status reportsbr Issue laboratory consumables from the store and ensure the calibration of all testing instruments and equipment maintaining calibration recordsbr Ensure the use of calibrated instruments for testing and prioritize the safety of manpower and equipment at all timesbr Maintain stock of safety equipment for plant use and ensure employees consistently use safety equipmentbr Act as a communication bridge conveying top managements principles and subordinates feedback ensuring alignment with the organizations mission and visionbr Provide timely reports to upper management and ensure any changes are thoroughly implemented to enhance product quality as directed by superiors
