Job Description
The role of Software Update Management Systems (SUMS) and vehicle cybersecurity is becoming increasingly critical in the commercial vehicle industry. At Knorr‑Bremse, we are committed to excellence and outstanding customer support. We are looking for a professional who understands technology, enjoys working with customers, feels comfortable in an automotive environment, and would like to take on a key role as a SUMS/Cybersecurity Technical Sales specialist within our international team.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Support commercial sales and OE customers for technical questions on Software Update Management System
- Visit Trailer OE customers in Europe to present technical details and support hands-on
- Support troubleshooting in close collaboration with commercial sales, product management, Cojali and R&D
- Lead alignment and definition of requirements on proprietary customer projects directly with the lead customer, e.g., SCB and Krone
- Engage in legal committees for SUMS and Cybersecurity
- Closely monitoring of legal progression towards Cybersecurity for vehicles of category O
- Definition of requirements regarding Cybersecurity compliance of iTrailer and Trailer product portfolio
- Generate technical documentation and marketing material
- Consult development team of KB and Cojali for further development with direct customer feedback
- Interface to technical support experts in the BU Aftermarket
You are the ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a university degree in engineering or another technical field. (e.g. mechanical, mechatronics, electrical engineer)
- Speak Hungarian and English fluently and confidently.
- Have relevant interdisciplinary automotive experience (e.g. software, electronics, vehicle test engineer, application engineer).
- Interest in Software Update Management Systems and vehicle cybersecurity.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy building relationships and working collaboratively with others.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking, proactivity, and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Work independently with a high sense of responsibility.
- Are open to occasional short business trips.
- Have experience working in an international environment.
- Prefer working in a hybrid setup (3 days office, 2 days home office).
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience in vehicle diagnostics, or have worked in a commercial vehicle workshop or automotive software development environment.
- Speak German.
