Summer Apprenticeship

Classic Narrative is a small independent house devoted to research, narrative, creativity, and strategic thinking.

From time to time, the House invites requests for consideration from a limited number of individuals to observe and participate in its internal intellectual work.

The present six-week summer apprenticeship forms part of that tradition.

It is quiet in character, disciplined in structure, and intentionally limited in scale.

This is not an internship and not employment.

It is a short period of structured intellectual formation.

Participation is voluntary and educational in nature.

This apprenticeship is unremunerated and does not constitute employment and does not guarantee future engagement.

Requests consideration for the present cycle are reviewed privately by the House.

Structure

Duration: Six Weeks

• Two weeks of orientation and study

• Four weeks of fellowship work

Commitment:

Up to twelve hours per week

Approximately two hours per day, Monday to Friday

Three brief review meetings are conducted each week.

All work is remote.

Areas of Formation

Apprentices may be considered for structured exposure in fields such as:

• Marketing, Strategy, Design, Writing

• Law, Economics, Finance, Psychology

• Administration, Human Resources, Retail

Specific briefs are privately shared with selected participants.

Typical Work

• Conducting structured research on businesses, industries, and markets

• Preparing concise analytical summaries and strategic observations

• Contributing to internal case studies and problem-solving exercises

Specific assignments may vary depending on the apprentice’s area of formation.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Be enrolled in or graduated from a recognized university

• Maintain a stable internet and independent workspace

• Be available for the full six-week period

The House values clarity of thought, discipline, and curiosity.

Applicants will participate in a short structured conversation conducted virtually.
