One of our clients is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager. This is not a traditional operations or project management role. We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership before being asked, and rapidly transforms ideas into action. You will work closely with senior leadership to operationalize new initiatives, experiment with better ways of working, and help build the systems that enable a rapidly growing global organization to scale.
Success in this role requires both disciplined execution and an innovative mindset. We are looking for someone who enjoys testing ideas, challenging assumptions, building new capabilities, and continuously improving how the organization operates. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, technical literacy, operational excellence, analytical thinking, and a passion for turning ambitious ideas into measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Innovation & Execution
- Translate leadership priorities into clear execution plans and drive initiatives through to successful completion.
- Build structure around new initiatives by creating initial frameworks, coordinating stakeholders, and establishing clear ownership.
- Rapidly transform ideas into operational reality, moving from concept to implementation with speed and discipline.
- Partner closely with leadership to evaluate opportunities, pressure-test ideas, and recommend practical paths forward.
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and operational challenges early, proactively developing practical solutions before they impact delivery.
- Drive accountability across teams while maintaining a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
- Balance day-to-day execution with longer-term operational improvements that enable sustainable growth.
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to leadership, helping turn vision into measurable outcomes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Design, prototype, and launch new internal processes, initiatives, and ways of working.
- Rapidly test ideas, evaluate outcomes, and iterate based on evidence, stakeholder feedback, and market insights.
- Identify opportunities for innovation across operations, technology, organizational design, and stakeholder engagement.
- Challenge existing assumptions and continuously seek better, smarter, and more scalable ways of operating.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and responsible innovation across the organization.
- Bring curiosity, creativity, and commercial thinking to solving complex organizational challenges.
Process Improvement & Organizational Effectiveness
- Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems and processes that enable the organization to scale efficiently.
- Simplify complex workflows into repeatable, effective operating procedures.
- Establish quality standards and operational checkpoints to ensure consistently high-quality execution.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and optimize workflows across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate how the organization operates and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, agility, and effectiveness.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform operational decisions and strategic priorities.
- Develop dashboards, reporting, and performance metrics that provide leadership with clear operational visibility.
- Rapidly test ideas, evaluate results, and iterate based on evidence rather than assumptions.
- Gather insights from market trends, internal teams, external stakeholders, and
- organizational performance to improve decision-making.
- Translate operational insights into practical recommendations that support organizational growth.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring priorities remain aligned and execution remains focused.
- Foster a culture of ownership, initiative, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Build strong relationships across the organization while maintaining clarity, transparency, and accountability.
- Support leadership in driving organizational alignment during periods of rapid growth and change.
- Champion a high-performance culture that values execution, adaptability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Essential Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in operations, business operations, strategic execution, delivery management, consulting, or similar leadership roles.
- Proven experience working within high-growth startups or scale-ups, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic direction into operational execution.
- Technical background or strong technical literacy, with the ability to troubleshoot systems, understand technical workflows, and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience designing, improving, and scaling operational processes.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions, measure performance, and prioritize initiatives.
- Experience evaluating ideas through experimentation, market validation, and iterative improvement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and execution quality.
- A proven track record of taking initiative, solving problems independently, and driving projects forward with minimal oversight.
