We’re Hiring: Strategic Assistant to the Managing Director

Job location: Dubai - with frequent travel to West Africa


We are looking for a highly-driven, analytical, and resourceful Strategic Assistant to work directly with our Managing Director and senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role designed for someone who can see the bigger picture, connect the dots, and enable the organization to move with clarity, focus, and speed.


What You Will Deliver:

  • Act as a key liaison between the MD’s office, senior leadership, and external agencies on operations, proposals, project updates, planning, and employee well-being.
  • Establish an effective reporting mechanism across different business entities and ensure seamless operations across geographies.
  • Build business review metrics/indicators, consolidate reports, and deliver analytics for periodic performance reviews.
  • Drive business continuity and sustainability initiatives by providing insights, recommendations, and frameworks that enhance robustness and performance.
  • Conduct detailed performance analysis, business intelligence, market research, and scorecard reviews for presentation to the company board.
  • Identify, strategize, and execute special projects as directed by the Managing Director.
  • Conduct comprehensive market studies and provide insights on emerging trends and opportunities aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with leadership on program management, organisation-wide initiatives, and implementation efforts.
  • Build and nurture collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders and agencies.


🎓 Education & Skills Required

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering; or a Master’s degree from top-tier B-school.
  • 8–12 years of experience in the Automobile industry.
  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal, influencing, and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of trade, sales, market exposure is mandatory
  • Knowledge and understanding of Profitability and P&L
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience in business analytics and reporting is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on proficiency with reporting and statistical tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with project management tools.
