Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods used in transformer manufacturing. The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper material handling, and compliance with company and safety standards.

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods used in transformer manufacturing. The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper material handling, and compliance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials (e.g., copper, insulation materials, core steel) and finished components.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability to meet production schedules.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Goods Receipt & Inspection
- Supervise receiving of incoming materials and verify against purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Quality Control for inspection and approval of materials.
- Ensure proper documentation (GRN – Goods Receipt Note).
- Storage & Material Handling
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive transformer components.
- Implement FIFO/LIFO methods where applicable.
- Maintain organized and safe warehouse layout.
- Dispatch & Logistics
- Coordinate timely dispatch of finished goods and materials.
- Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare dispatch documentation (invoices, delivery challans, etc.).
- Coordination with Departments
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams.
- Ensure uninterrupted material flow to production lines.
- Communicate shortages or delays proactively.
- ERP & Documentation
- Maintain inventory data in SAP System
- Generate reports on stock levels, consumption, and movement.
- Ensure compliance with audit and documentation requirements.
- Team Management
- Supervise store staff, helpers, and forklift operators.
- Train team members on safety, handling, and inventory procedures.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards in the warehouse.
- Handle hazardous or heavy materials safely.
